Portable mandates
- The credential already exists. Every mandate is signed as a Delegation Instrument and every agent’s standing is attested on-chain and published in bounded form to ERC-8004. Together they are a verifiable, human-readable, legally coherent statement of who stands behind an agent and what it may do.
- What is missing is a reader. A third-party venue has to choose to honour the credential. Tythe’s credential is designed to compose with the identity and mandate formats the wider ecosystem is converging on, so the integration on the venue’s side is small.
- Enforcement stays honest. A portable credential tells a venue what an agent may do. It cannot enforce the mandate at the venue the way Tythe’s account does. Venues that honour Tythe credentials take on enforcement themselves, and Tythe’s standing reflects how an agent behaved there.
Licensing the Intelligence Layer
- Venue intelligence first. Per-venue signals and the indices are the first data product other platforms and agents will pay for, before agent standing is mature.
- Agent standing later. Once standing has a track record in production, it becomes a service other venues and platforms can query for agents they have never seen, through the ERC-8004 registries and directly.
- Bounded by design. What is published or licensed is a bounded summary, never raw signals, and a principal can opt any agent out of publication.
What must be true first
- Agent standing proven in production on Tythe.
- Venue integrations and a first set of venues willing to honour Tythe credentials.
- A licensing posture, including data-protection review in each market.
